Our Plasmid DNA Isolation Kit extracts plasmid DNA from recombinant bacterial cultures. The DNA is extracted using our proprietary DNA matrix in a spin column format, which involve harvesting the bacteria, alkaline lysis and neutralization of the lysate before passing thru a column. When the neutralized lysate is passed thru the column, the plasmid DNA gets retained in the matrix due to adsorption, which is then eluted either with TE Buffer or sterile deionized water.
